Harry's turn on Wester Lodge tomorrrow

Sunday, June 14, 2009
It has Harry Eustace's turn to take the ride on Wester Lodge at Warwick tomorrow evening. The trip should be ideal but James Eustace is hoping the ground will not be too quick for him. There are showers forecast tomorrow so hopefully they will get enough rain there to make a difference. The horse is in good form at home and is it not without a chance.
There are 4 horses declared to run at Yarmouth on Tuesday but they will not all run if they don't get any further rain. KARKY SCHULTZ is bidding to follow up his Kempton win in an apprentice handicap over 10 furlongs. He will be ridden by William Carson who was seen to good effect on General Zhukov at Leicester recently. The ground is good at the moment but if it does dry up he may not run. The same applies to INTEGRIA who did not let himself down on firm ground at Newbury last week. He is running in a rating related maiden over 7 furlongs which is ideal for him. He will be wearing blinkers for the first time, he is a bit lazy and hopefully they will sharpen him up. TURKISH LOKUM and ROLEPLAY are both declared to run in the 7 furlong handicap and both could run if the ground remains good. ROLEPLAY really needs top of the ground and is likely to need this race as she has not run for 200 days. TURKISH LOKUM worked well last week but desperately needs cut in the ground. If the ground does become soft she will run well.
