Harry enjoys first ride

Monday, February 23, 2009
Harry Eustace had a great first ride at Wolverhampton on WESTER LODGE. He finished a fast finishing fifth. He was a bit outpaced early on and then got stopped on the bend when making his run, otherwise he would have finished closer. It was a great effort by Harry to make the weightof 10st 9lbs as he his is 6ft tall. He rode in a 1 pound saddle and was also in the sauna before the race but it was a small sacrifice to pay for the thrill of riding in a race. Harry said it was the realisation of something that he thought was only a dream. WESTER LODGE is proving to be an excellent schoolmaster and seems to be enjoying his role as he is running well. I am not sure who will be on board next time - watch this space!
