Alot of entries in week ahead

Sunday, July 18, 2004

There are alot of entries this week put plans are a little fluid due to the unpredictable weather. The principal entries and running plans are as follows:-

MALAK AL MOULOUK is running at Windsor on Monday evening in a mile and a quarter handicap. He should have a good chance and any more rain they get there will be in his favour.

On Thursday at Sandown MISTER AZIZ has a chance in the 5 furlong maiden auction race, he should appreciate the drop back in trip. CONSIDINE also runs at the same meeting in a mile and 6 furlong handicap, he should also have a chance back over this distance. On the same day DRALION may run at Yarmouth but he also has an alternative engagement at Pontefract on Sunday. He ran well on his debut and showed plenty of speed so is being dropped back to 5 furlongs. He is expected to run well wherever he runs.

CHIGORIN has an easy journey on Friday as he runs at Newmarket in a 0-75 handicap over a mile and could run well as the track should suit him.

The weekend action is centred around the big Ascot meeting. On Saturday ORCADIAN could take his chance in a handicap there and BLUE PATRICK may run in the ladies diamond race which is a 0-90 handicap. On Sunday at Ascot there are 2 runners and they both have good chances. ARIODANTE is running in the auction race over 7 furlongs, the step up in trip should suit him and you could see him running a big race. Although WELCOME STRANGER is now 6 pounds higher in the handicap after his last win he should have a big chance in the mile handicap. He would not appreciate too much rain though.
