COLTON is dropping back in trip to a mile at Brighton tomorrow but he has won over this distance before. Recently he has been running over further but he seems to have sharpened up lately so a drop back in distance shouldn't inconvenience him. He has not however experienced the Brighton track before which is a slight cause for concern as he is quite a big horse and it is not the most straight forward course. It is an apprentice race and he will have the assistance of one of the best apprentices riding at the moment, David Probert which will be in his favour. The horse seems to be back to his very best form at home so James Eustace is hopeful of a big run as long as he handles the track. The ground is currently good/firm which will suit him.
LADY AVENGER is entered in a 5 furlong handicap, against older horses for the first time, at Haydock on Saturday. The ground is currently soft and as long as it remains on the easy side of good or softer she will run. It will be a tough task taking on older sprinters for the first time but if the ground remains soft it will help her chances.
