Bank Holiday Runners

Park Lodge has an interesting runner tomorrow in the 1 mile 6 furlongs March Stakes (Listed) at Goodwood.  VALENTINO ROSSI is a Brazilian import who has won a 2 mile Listed race in Brazil.  He did not take the journey well initially and we have given him time to acclimatize.  He has the stamp of a European staying type and indeed might even jump a hurdle one day!  He has been pleasing in his work at home and we are hopeful of a decent run.

On Sunday we have 3 declared runners at Yarmouth all with chances.  COLTON has been running much better of late since a hurdling campaign during the winter and has run two decent races at Yarmouth recently.  He will only run if there is no further rain as he is a good ground or faster horse.  TOO HOT TO HANDLE runs for the first time in a handicap, although by the sprinter ELNADIM, she looks as though a step up in trip will suit her.  She is however a keen going filly and a lot will depend on how well she settles early on.  FLASH OF FIRE runs in the mile and a quarter claimer.  He was second in a similar race at Yarmouth last time.  He could go one better especially on better ground.

On Bank Holiday Monday, we run TURKISH LOKUM at Warwick in a 7 furlong maiden auction race.  She has plenty of stamina in her pedigree but does have some speed also and a track like Warwick could suit her well.  There is a big entry for the race and so long as she does not get ballotted out, she could run well.
