At The Money leads Pontefract stayers series

Tuesday, June 10, 2008
AT THE MONEY ran a great race at Pontefract last night to finish a good third on ground that went against him. James Eustace was worried about running him as the ground dried up considerably during the day. This has put the horse in the lead on 14 points in the Pontefract staying series and the next horse has 9 points. There is a prize at the end of the season for the horse with the most points. As AT THE MONEY is in such good form he may run again in another staying race there later in the month if the ground comes right for him.
FLASH OF FIRE is declared at Beverley tomorrow but if the ground gets any quicker she will run at Yarmouth on Thursday instead. Blue Peter Racing are running both their horses there on Thursday too so it is a big day out for them. BLUE ARCTIC, a Bertolini filly, is making her racecourse debut. She is a nice filly but was quite temperamental early in her career and wouldn't want a bad experience first time out. FARSIGHTED is trying a big step up in trip. She was going to run over hurdles at Stratford but it was abandoned. She had schooled well. All her best from has been on soft ground but hopefully this step up in trip is what she needs. She has always looked a staying type at home.
