WAR ARTIST is aiming for Group 2 glory at York tomorrow in the 6 furlong Duke of York Stakes. He is drawn 1 of the 18 runners which is not ideal but low numbers have a good record in this race and there are plenty of speed horses drawn near him so hopefully he can get a good lead. He has a 5 pound penalty to defy but should definitely be in with a good chance if reproducing his Newmarket run last time out. He may be suited by a stiffer track than York but James Eustace is hoping for a big run.
On Thursday evening there are 2 runners on the home track at Newmarket. FARSIGHTED has been found an ideal race, a 61-75 rated fillies only handicap over a mile. This is a step down in grade from her last run so a big improvement is expected. Her best form has been on softer ground but there is no reason why she shouldn't handle faster conditions.
SECOND OPINION runs in a 5 furlong handicap also for horse rated 61-75. She ran well last time out and can hopefully go close again this time. Again the ground is a slight concern as she did not like firm ground last year. Hopefully they will have watered the track well.
