Karky Schultz is first runner at Great Leighs

Thursday, May 1, 2008
KARKY SCHULTZ will be James Eustace's first runner at the new Great Leighs racecourse tonight. It has had some very good reports and is being well supported by all the leading trainer's. The ground is riding a bit on the slow side so tends to suit horses that prefer cut in the ground, this should not inconvenience KARKY SCHULTZ. He is running over 6 furlongs tonight but will probably be better over slightly further in time but it is an ideal race for his seasonal season. It does not look a great race on paper so if he reproduces his best 2 year old form he would have a chance. He has not truly come in his coat yet though and, like all of us, would appreciate some warmer weather.
POCHARD gets a run at Fontwell tomorrow evening over hurdles. The ground and trip will be very similar to Stratford where she ran her best race to date so one would be hopeful that she will run well again.
