Easter plans

Thursday, March 20, 2008
It will be a relatively quiet Bank Holiday weekend for Park Lodge Stables. With the prospect of heavy ground at Doncaster on Saturday, James Eustace decided not to enter WAR ARTIST for the Cammidge Trophy. His best form in South Africa is on fast ground so he will now wait for the Abernant Stakes at  the Newmarket Craven meeting in April.
POCHARD, who was third on her last run, will go to Plumpton on Easter Monday. Her last race was over 2 mile 5 furlongs and she looked as if she would stay further, Monday's race is over 3 mile 1 furlong so it should suit her. The only slight concern is whether she will handle really testing conditions but if she does handle it she should run well again.
CAVENDISH has an entry at Plumpton on Sunday and Huntingdon on Monday but at this stage he is not a definite runner. The races aren't ideal for him so he may wait for a more suitable contest.
