Late night out for Cavendish

Friday, February 29, 2008

CAVENDISH is having an evening out at Wolverhampton tomorrow. He reverts to the flat and runs in the 9.20pm race there. James Eustace would prefer to run him over hurdles but is thwarted by the continuing dry spell as the horse needs cut in the ground. He will be without blinkers tomorrow as he seemed happy without them over hurdles. Dale Gibson is in the saddle tomorrow and he has always run well for him before. CAVENDISH also seems to prefer the left handed track at Wolverhampton and always runs a good race there. He is in fine form at home so hopefully he will be there or thereabouts tomorrow night.

POCHARD is due to run at Stratford on Monday in a 2 mile 6 furlong conditional jockeys fillies handicap. It will be her first run in a handicap so it will be an easier contest for her than her previous races where she was running in better company. The trip should suit her and she has always jumped well so hopefully she can finish closer. She is in good form at home and any rain that falls before Monday would help her chances.
