At The Money returns to the flat at Kempton

Friday, February 1, 2008

AT THE MONEY runs in the 8.50pm race at Kempton tomorrow evening and only faces 8 opponents. He ran very well over hurdles at Folkestone recently and has been put up 3 pounds by the jump handicapper which put him out of his next intended run over hurdles. James Eustace feels that this race over 2 miles is ideal for him. He is probably a better horse in heavy ground on the turf but has got some decent form on the all weather surface. The horse is in great form and deserves a change of luck, he has a good chance tomorrow.

COLTON is a declared runner at Doncaster tomorrow, hopefully the meeting will go ahead. He has an interesting rival in RIPPLING RING. This horse came from South Africa and was a lodger at Park Lodge Stables when he came over. He was due to go to USA but was bought by Paul Nicholls to go jumping instead. James Eustace was sorry to see him leave the yard and it will be interesting to see how he runs. COLTON has some respectable jumping form . The aim tomorrow will be to hold him up as he has made the running in his 2 previous starts and didnít seem to quite get home last time out. He is going to be a better horse over jumps in the summer when the ground is quicker. The ground tomorrow should be good as long as they donít get any more wet weather.
