Well deserved win by Cavendish

Friday, June 29, 2007

CAVENDISH recorded his first win at Warwick yesterday. He had put up some good performance on the all weather over the winter and it was great to see him take advantage of conditions yesterday and win by length. He was given a good positive ride by Richard Hughes. The horse seems very well this morning and could well run again at Goodwood on Monday with a penalty. He loves the soft ground so he may as well keep running while conditions are in his favour.

WHISTLEUPTHEWIND does not like the current underfoot conditions but has been declared for Newmarket tomorrow in the hope that the heavy showers stay away. James Eustace is keen to run her as she is very well in herself and she will take her chance unless the ground does become soft.
