Dry weather hinders race plans

Thursday, April 19, 2007

There are alot of entries from Park Lodge over the weekend but the continuing dry spell means that they wonít run unless there is a dramatic change in the weather. All the horses are in good form but those ready to run are in need of some cut in the ground.

FAST BOWLER will make his seasonal reappearance tomorrow at Lingfield on the polytrack. He had problems last year as he bled in his races. He hasnít done this at home this spring and seems in good form. James Eustace just hopes he runs well and shows no sign of this problem reoccurring. He won 1st time out as a 2 year old and a 3 year old but one canít be confident he will be able to do it again this year. Steve Donohue takes the ride, he rode him to victory last season.

WESTER ROSS was due to run at Yarmouth recently but pricked a foot so has missed some work since then. He is entered at Windsor on Monday and is a likely runner as they do a good job watering there. He ran once last season and ran well in a Newmarket maiden, the form of this race is working out well. He is a nice horse for the future but it looks a hot maiden on Monday and he will probably find 1 or 2 too good for him on this occasion as he is likely to need the run.
