Easy victory for At The Money

Sunday, February 25, 2007

AT THE MONEY put in a very impressive display of jumping in heavy ground at Warwick on Friday and won as he liked by over 20 lengths. His task was made easier when 2 of his rivals were brought down at the first hurdle when another horse jumped across them. AT THE MONEY was well out of trouble at the head of affairs and was on his own from 3 out. James Eustace always thought he had all the right credentials to make his mark over jumps and it was nice to see him proved right. The continious wet weather has delayed the start to his jumping career as meetings have been abandoned. He does not hold a Cheltenham entry but is being aimed at a 4 year old hurdle race at Stratford on the Monday of Cheltenham week and there is decent prizemoney on offer there. Hopefully all the better 4 year olds will be lured to one of the 4 year old hurdle races at Cheltenham instead.

If anyone has an interest in breeding National Hunt horses, AT THE MONEY’S half sister, SHOTGUN ANNIE, is being sold at Ascot Sales on April the 10th. Now that At The Money has won over hurdles it will have improved the pedigree further and she should make a nice National Hunt mare.
