Trio at Wolverhampton today

Monday, October 30, 2006

James Eustace saddles 3 runners at Wolverhampton today. COLTON probably has the best chance of the 3 if he takes to the surface, it will be his first time running on the all-weather . ANATOLIAN PRINCE is probably up against it today but his intended race at Yarmouth last week was abandoned due to the wet weather. He is a very genuine horse though so should give a good account of himself. The third runner is WESTER LODGE who is trying 14 furlongs on this surface for the first time. He has run over this trip on the turf as a 3 year old, it will be interesting to see how he takes to the distance under these conditions.

INQUISITRESS has a good chance at Wolverhampton tomorrow in a 9 furlong nursery. She ran well at Lingfield over 8 furlongs last time out and the extra furlong should suit her well.

PLEASING GIFT has 3 entries on Wednesday but she is likely to get eliminated from all of them. She is more likely to get in a race at Wolverhampton on Friday. Her last run at Brighton should be ignored as she did not appear to handle the track or the ground that day. She ran at Lingfield on the polytrack before that and James Eustace feels that she definitely has the ability to win a race.

CAVENDISH has an entry at Southwell on Thursday in a median auction maiden race. On Saturday ORCADIAN has a choice of the November handicap or a Listed race at Windsor. James Eustace will look closely at the entries before deciding which race to run in him. He has come out his last race very well so will have a big chance in either contest.
