LOCAL FANCY has been running consistently well and she must have a good chance at Newbury tomorrow. The ground will be in her favour and she likes the track having finished 5th to Red Evie earlier in the season, Red Evie has subsequently won a Group 1 race so her form is very good. The worry with fillies at this time of the year is that they can loose their form when their winter coats become to come through. LOCAL FANCY’S coat is beginning to change but she did have a mid season break so is still relatively fresh. She seems in good form at home still so let’s hope she can run well tomorrow.
SPELLBINDING makes her racecourse debut in a mile 2 year old maiden at Leicester tomorrow. She is a homebred filly by Kirkwall. Although she has done plenty of work at home she is likely to need the race tomorrow as she is a filly that carries plenty of condition. She has a great attitude and hopefully will run a nice race but may find that the horses with previous racecourse experience will have an advantage. She is entered in the sales at the end of the month so James Eustace will try and run her once more after this before her date in the sales ring.
HIGHLAND CASCADE is dropping down in class on Wednesday and running in a claiming race at Lingfield on the all weather. She has top weight and is not best in on ratings at the weights but hopefully she can run well. She has run once before on the all weather but was not given a chance that day so James Eustace feels it is worth having another try.
