Two runners at Yarmouth tomorrow

Sunday, October 13, 2019
The weather is playing slight havoc with the racing fixtures but Yarmouth looks as if it will survive tomorrow and COVERHAM  and REASONED both have engagements there. COVERHAM is still in great form despite another busy campaign. He won 3 races last year and has won once this year but has also run some great races in defeat, he is a remarkably consistent performer. He does like some cut in the ground but is unproven on really soft ground but as this is his last run of the season we feel it it worth a try. He is running over a mile and is drawn 14 of 14 runners  which could be a good draw on soft ground.
REASONED has also been very consistent over sprint distances and her first try over a longer trip of 10 furlongs last time out showed that she clearly doesn't stay. She has an ambiguous pedigree so it was worth a try but she reverts to her best trip of 7 furlongs tomorrow. She also likes cut in the ground but we are unsure about heavy ground. If she does handle the underfoot conditions then she could run well. She does have a good pedigree so if she can win race then it will make a big difference to her value as a breeding prospect.
