We had targeted some turf races for DIRECTORY's next run but the lack of rain has frustrated those plans as he definitely needs cut in the ground. Southwell suits horses with early speed and a preference for cut in the ground, he ticks both those boxes and this looks an ideal race for him. He is drawn 6 of the 8 runners and will be ridden by Ryan Tate who knows him well. He has been in good form at home since his last run at Kempton and seems to have come on for the run. It is a bit of an experiment running him on this surface but it will be useful to know for the future if he takes to it. If he does then you can see him running very well tomorrow.
