Two runners at Fontwell tomorrow

Tuesday, October 23, 2018
We have two runners over hurdles at Fontwell tomorrow. We are delighted to have secured the services Of Champion jockey Richard Johnson to ride WIND PACE AND SHO in the 2 mile 3 furlong handicap hurdle race there. It will be his first ride for us so let's hope he can work the oracle on him. He is in good form since his last win at the same track. It is a step back up in trip but this should suit him especially if ridden the same way as last time. It looks a competitive race so it won't be easy  but his form is solid and it would be great if he could win again.
DEBACLE  make his handicap debut in a 2 mile 5 furlong handicap hurdle and Charlie Deutsch takes the ride. We do think he is destined to jump fences and has schooled well over them already and jumps very well. He will be wearing cheek pieces tomorrow as he is still very green and it is just to help the jockey. This is a step up in trip which he needs and we just want to keep him to hurdles for the time being as he still need to learn what racing is all about, he is still a big baby. Tomorrow's race is a 0-100 handicap so will be a lower level than he has been running in. You can't rule him out and it will be interesting to see how he performs.
