Stable hits top form with Colton win

Wednesday, August 9, 2006

James Eustace came very close to training a treble today from 3 runners. Two seconds and a winner made it a highly successful day. Everything went right for COLTON today, he settled well and won nicely at Pontefract. It was his first run in the colours of Park Lodge Racing as they only took over the ownership recently so they were obviously delighted to get off on a winning start. He is still a big baby so will hopefully go on improving and he should go on from here. WESTER LODGE came very close to winning at Brighton, he was only headed on the line. The applications of the blinkers did seem to help, he made all and stuck to his task well. WHISTELUPTHEWIND ran another game race at Yarmouth this evening, she just found one too good on the day. She is declared tomorrow and will run again providing she is fine in the morning. It does not look a strong race so she should have a chance.
