The 3 year old filly MEDIAN makes her racecourse debut at Wolverhampton this afternoon in a 7 furlong novice race and is drawn 5 of the 12 runners. It was not the original plan to run here as it is a replacement meeting for all those lost to the continuous bad weather. We were delighted that they did add this fixture as we did not want to run her on heavy ground first time out. She has been working nicely at home but will clearly come on for the run. We will also get a better idea about her ideal trip. On pedigree she should need further but she has shown plenty of speed at home. 7 furlongs seems a good starting point so we will see how she goes today.
ENVOY is declared to run in a 12 furlong handicap at Windsor this evening and is drawn 12 of the 14 runners. He is a horse we like a lot and he won last year on good/soft ground so he does like some cut in the ground. If the rain continues though and the ground becomes heavy we will probably take him out as we aren’t sure if he will handle it that soft. The rain will surely stop one day!
