Fast Bowler heads for Windsor

Sunday, July 23, 2006

FAST BOWLER makes his belated first appearance of the season at Windsor tomorrow evening. He has had various niggling problems but James Eustace is looking forward to seeing him back in action. He is an unexposed horse having only had one run last year and he won nicely. He is running over 6 furlongs tomorrow which could be a bit sharp for him but there are only 8 runners and he is drawn 8, the best draw. He is definitely a nice horse for the future and should benefit from the run tomorrow. CETSHWAYO also runs at Windsor tomorrow in a 10 furlong maiden. He ran over hurdles last winter but he was not at his best. James Eustace has him as fit as he can get him at home but still feels that he will need the race tomorrow.

HIGHLAND CASCADE and WHISTLEUPTHEWIND are entered at both Yarmouth on Tuesday and Leicester on Wednesday. Both are more likely to run at Yarmouth but WHISTLEUPTHEWIND could be declared for both meetings. She also has entries at Newmarket and Chepstow on Friday and Lingfield on Saturday so she could have a busy week! She is in great form and will run in whichever race she seems to have the best chance in, she could easily run twice as she takes her racing very well. HIGHLAND CASCADE has been running well lately so will hopefully go close wherever she runs.

WESTER LODGE is a definite runner at Leicester on Wednesday. He is running over 12 furlongs for the first time this season but he won over this trip last season. The track should suit him as they tend to go a decent pace there and hopefully the ground will remain fast for him. LOCAL FANCY does hold an entry at the same meeting but she will only run if there is a dramatic change in the weather and the ground becomes soft.
