MACKSVILLE and LONGSIDE bother run on the polytrack at Lingfield tomorrow. MACKSVILLE, fresh from his win at Chelmsford last week, runs in a 2 mile handicap and is drawn 8 of the 13 runners. He carries a 6 pound penalty for last weeks win so we have booked Josh Bryan to ride him, who claims 5 pounds, so effectively cancels out most of the penalty. He was entered in this race before his win so we thought he may aswell take his chance and try and get another bite of the cherry especially as he has come out of the race well. He is stepping up from 1 mile 6 furlongs to 2 miles but he ran well over this trip at Kempton and it may even suit him better. He takes his racing well and didn't have a hard race last week so we hope he can be thereabouts again tomorrow.
LONGSIDE runs in a 10 furlong handicap and is drawn 12 of 14 runners, Ryan Tate takes the ride. He has had a break and we have been waiting for some fast ground for him as he doesn't like it soft. The weather has not been in our favour so we thought we may aswell have a try on the polytrack as he has got some previous good form on the surface. His best form this year has been over this trip when he was second at Yarmouth earlier in the season. We hope he can run well and if the ground dries up we will try him back on the turf, otherwise we will look for more races on the all weather for him.
