Coverham chance to break his duck
Sunday, September 24, 2017
COVERHAM has been found a good opportunity to break his duck at Leicester tomorrow. He is running in a 7 furlong hands and heels apprentice handicap and is drawn 3 of 15 runners. He finished out of the first 3 for the first time this year at Kempton last time out but he had to overcome a poor draw and it was his first run back after a break so under the circumstances he ran a decent race. He is such a laid back horse at home that he probably needed that race and appears to have come on for the run. The ground will suit him and he has good form over this distance on this course earlier in the year. He will be ridden by Rossa Ryan who will be one of the more experienced riders in the race and rode him last time out so knows the horse. With conditions to suit COVERHAM should run a decent race, he has been knocking at the door all season and it would be nice to see him get his head in front tomorrow.
