A trio of runners on Tuesday

Tuesday, May 23, 2017
Its a busy Tuesday with 2 runners on the flat at Nottingham and 1 over hurdles at Huntingdon in the evening. FATHER McKENZIE starts proceedings, he runs in a 6 furlong 0-75 handicap and is drawn 6 of the 13 runners. He ran very well at Lingfield only 11 days ago and the form of that race was not let down at Newmarket by the winner who has gone up 13 pounds for his win. Although he has had 3 quick races, he seems to take his race unbelievably well and this race looks ideal for him. He should give a good account of himself and is sure to do his best.
ENVOY runs in a mile maiden and does not have the most favourable of draws in stall 10 of 10. He has been working well with recent Newmarket winner MUSIC SEEKER but he is likely to need further in time. He ran well at the same course last autumn over the same trip so is not without a chance tomorrow.
SANDY COVE wil be having his second run over hurdles at Huntingdon in a maiden hurdle race. There are 6 runners and Jack Quinlan takes the ride. He ran well at Kempton considering that he was unable to do much schooling on the grass before this race due to the firm ground. He jumped round well and we hope he can improve on this run tomorrow. The quicker the ground becomes the better it will be for him.
