LONGSIDE and BUSKIN RIVER both have relatively short journeys tomorrow. LONGSIDE heads for Yarmouth where he runs in a 10 furlong handicap. There are 8 runners and he will be ridden by Andrea Atzeni. He travelled well for a long way over 12 furlongs last time out at Doncaster, just tiring in the closing stages. He looks a stronger horse this year and we are dropping back in trip to see if he has enough pace over this distance, if he does then it will give us more options for the rest of the season. He has come out of his last race well so we are hopeful of a good run tomorrow.
BUSKIN RIVER makes his debut for us tomorrow at Chelmsford. He is running in a mile handicap and will be ridden by Ryan Tate. We have been pleased with his work at home with other 3 year olds who have run well. We think a mile is his minimum trip though and he has not been done any favours by the draw being in stall 11 of the 13 runners. We hope he can still run a decent race and we can learn more about him for the future.
