Two runners at two meetings tomorrow

WILD SHOT makes his racecourse debut at Pontefract tomorrow afternoon. He runs in a mile maiden race and is drawn 6 of the 7 runners, Ryan Tate takes the ride. He is a half brother to SHADOW SPIRIT by So You Think and like his sister, he is likely to need a run or 2 before he clicks. She needed a couple of runs for the penny to drop and then she was very consistent. He will definitely need this run to educate him but his homework has been perfectly good so we just hope he can run a nice race and progress from there. The trip should suit him and the ground is officially good so it seems a good race to start him off in.
NEW RECORD returns to Chelmsford to run in a 10 furlong handicap and  is well drawn in stall 2 of the 12 runners. Ryan Tate will be making the journey from Pontefract to ride him.  He was badly outpaced over 7 furlongs last week but to his credit made up alot of ground in the straight and finished well. He won a mile maiden at Longchamp as a 3 year old in France and the form of the race was good but he never ran anywhere near that form since. Last weeks run was encouraging and we have stepped him in trip to 10 furlongs so it will be interesting to see how he runs. It is only a week since his last run but he seems well in himself and this looked the ideal race for him. He has worked well at home and we could see him running well tomorrow evening.
