TRANSACTION was balloted out last Saturday but is expected to make his eagerly awaited racecourse debut this week instead. He is entered at Lingfield on Friday and Doncaster on Saturday, Lingfield being the most likely venue. James also has ANDURIL entered at Lingfield on the same day in a 1 mile classified stakes race, the conditions for the race are ideal but it is a competitive contest with several recent winners also entered. There is a slight doubt that the trip may be on the short side for him but he has sharpened up over the winter. James is pleased with the way the horse has progressed and hopes that he will run well.
One of the stable’s lesser lights, MARNE, is making his debut in a selling race at Wolverhampton on Saturday night. James thinks he will run as well as he is capable but he is rather on the small side. It is quite possible he will act on the track and surface as his half sister, Armentiere, finished third in a similar race last year.
Blue Peter Racing were out in force at Park Lodge on Saturday morning to see their horses and it was very nice to see them. EMPRESS EUGENIE is progressing nicely and will hopefully be ready to make her racecourse debut next month and it won’t be long before RAFFISH will be ready to make his debut too. BLUE PATRICK has only just come back in from a short break but his first run could be at the Guineas meeting.
