Ryan Tate rides both our runners tomorrow and both have live chances. MAJOR CRISPIES runs at Chelmsford in a mile handicap and is drawn 10 of the 11 runners. He has finished third over this trip in both his last 2 runs at Kempton and ran particularly well last time out. We hope he can transfer his Kempton form to Chelmsford. Arguably he could have finished even closer in his last run as he had to come from a little far back off a slow pace. He has run once before at Chelmsford but that was over 6 furlongs and when the track had just bee re opened. Since then the surface has been treated which should suit him better and this longer trip seems to suit him better these days. It is a competitive race but if he can run to his Kempton form then he should run a decent race again.
PENNERLEY was due to run at Thirsk on Monday but the meeting was abandoned. She runs in a 12 furlong handicap at Lingfield and is well drawn in stall 1 of the 10 runners. We favoured Thirsk as we thought the track would suit her better but this race is for 3 year old fillies only so it is an ideal contest for her. The question mark is whether she will handle the undulations of the course. She should like the surface as she works well on the polytrack at home. If she handles the track then she should run well tomorrow.
