Dancer chance in lower grade tomorrow

SPA'S DANCER runs in a 0-85 10 furlong handicap at Wetherby tomorrow evening. He is drawn 15 of 16 runners and Graham Lee, who knows him well, takes the ride. This is the first time for a long time that he has been eligible to run in this grade of race as he has dropped down the handicap. He has been in good form in both his runs on the flat this year and has come out of his most recent race at Chester well. It was not an ideal track for his style of racing and he made up alot of ground in the closing stages but had to come from a long way back. Hopefully he will find the track at Wetherby more suitable as it has a long straight and it is a stiff track. The ground should be fine for him too. The draw is not ideal but as he is always slowly away these days so the draw should not make a big difference to him. The horse to beat is WINTERVEL who finished second to ICE SLICE when he achieved his hat trick. On SPA'S DANCER's best form you would give him a good chance at the weights and even though he is now 9 years old he has been showing that he has still retained his ability and must have a good chance in a race of this grade.
