SPA'S DANCER and CHIEF SPIRIT should both appreciate the good ground at local track Fakenham tomorrow. SPA'S DANCER runs in a 2 mile handicap hurdle, there are 14 runners and Jack Quinlan rides him. He really enjoys jumping but does struggle to get the trip in tiring ground. Fakenham is a sharp track and the ground has at last dried out so he has conditions to help him tomorrow. If he does see out the trip then he must have a good chance especially on the best of his flat form.
CHIEF SPIRIT faces 10 rivals in a 2 mile conditional jockeys maiden hurdle race and Harry Bannister takes the ride. He jumped very well on hiss debut at Newbury but got very tired in the ground. There is obviously a question mark whether he truly stays after that run but we will learn more tomorrow on this sharp track and on good ground. He has come out of the Newbury race very well and has schooled well since. We still think he is a decent prospect to go hurdling as long as he gets the trip.
