ORCADIAN ran a big race for a long way yesterday at Cheltenham and at the top of the hill was definately still in with a shout. He was given a great ride by Mark Bradburne, he had him in a perfect position throughout the race. Unfortunately he hit the hurdle coming down the hill very hard and did well to stay on his feet. This really knocked the stuffing out of him and the leading horses then turned the race into a bit of a sprint up the final hill. His finishing position was 13th of the 20 runners but he was not subjected to a hard race once his chance had gone.
ORCADIAN will revert to the flat for his next outing but could return to hurdling in the autumn. His first target will be either the Group 3 John Porter Stakes at Newbury on April 22nd or the Group 3 Brigadier Gerard Stakes at Sandown on April 28th.
