Schooling goes well

Monday, March 6, 2006

James Eustace had to take the unusual step of schooling ORCADIAN and CETSCHWAYO in the afternoon last Thursday to ensure good ground for some vital schooling . Part of this extensive schooling session included a set of hurdles going downhill to prepare ORCADIAN for the undulations of Cheltenham next week. The schooling went very well and both horses may have one more short session this Thursday if the ground is good enough but it is not essential. CETSCHWAYO could run at Plumpton in a novice hurdle on Monday and ORCADIAN is all set to run in the opening contest of the 2006 Cheltenham Festival, the Supreme Novices Hurdle Race.

The jump string are the only runners at the moment. The next runner on the flat will not be until the turf season begins on 24th March.
