WIND PLACE AND SHO and AVIATOR both have each way chances in valuable handicaps tomorrow. WIND PLACE AND SHO runs in the 14 furlong Melrose handicap at York and is drawn 7 of the 20 runners. He has done nothing wrong all season and the form of his last run at Sandown has worked out well with the 3rd and 4th horses coming out and finishing 1st and 2nd at Salisbury recently. The down side of that is that the handicapper put him up another 2 pounds so he is running off a 6 pound higher mark than his last win. He is in great form at home and appears to be improving all the time. We have no concerns about the ground as he has won on good/firm and good/soft. The track will suit him well so we are hopeful of a big run tomorrow.
AVIATOR head west to Newton Abbot to run in a valuable handicap hurdle race. He has been very consistent over hurdles, winning twice and was second last time out to a horse from the in form John Ferguson stable. He won't mind the ground either way too as his best form on the flat has been with cut in the ground but he has shown good form over hurdles on faster ground. Jack Quinlan rides him who knows him so well so he must have a good chance of bringing some prizemoney home.
