2 runners at Pontefract tomorrow

Monday, April 6, 2015
WIND PLACE AND SHO  makes his first appearance of the season tomorrow in a 10 furlong maiden. There are 7 runners and Graham Lee takes the ride. He ran a nice race second time out as a 2 year old over a mile at Salisbury last September. He is bred to stay further so the stiff Pontefract track should suit him and the ground should be fine for him. We have been pleased with his work at home this spring and he is not without a chance tomorrow but will improve, like all the family, over a longer trip and with time.
WILY FOX has not run on the flat since September 2013 as he has been running over hurdles. He has had 3 runs back over hurdles after recovering from an injury and showed signs in his last run of coming back to form. He was 2nd in this race 2 years ago so we know the track and trip will suit him and the ground should be fine for him.  WILY FOX can be a bit keen in his races, we have booked Jamie Spencer to ride him tomorrow who is very good at settling horses, he should suit him well.  Ryan Tate  has ridden him regularly in the past but he unfortunately broke his leg last week, we wish him a speedy recovery.
